Muesli Blueberry Parfait

High caloric, fiber-rich parfait that will power you through your morning. Most Americans often neglect the fiber component of their meals when they're more focused on the calories, protein, fat, or carbohydrates. This very important component that may escape our daily mantra is integral to regular bowel movements, feeding our gut flora, boosting immunity, controlling blood sugar, promoting heart health, decreasing cholesterol, etc.... This research supporting this is overwhelming. Surprisingly enough, you might see an article in the paper claiming new findings supporting fiber's health benefits. In all reality, it is pretty consistent across the board and certainly has been for a while now. Fiber is just plain good for you!

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup Muesli
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Blueberries
  • 6 oz. Yogurt Try Siggi Plain Yogurt for extra protein
  • 1 Whole Banana Provides for added sweetness (no complaints there)

Notes

  1.  Add your muesli to hot water and let it sit for about five minutes.
  2.  Add blueberries, banana, and yogurt to cooked muesli.  Enjoy!
